Membership is open to people from a variety of clinical and non-clinical settings, including public and private health facilities, private practice, universities, non-university research foundations and many others. These include professionals in the fields of health, welfare, education, emergency services and associated disciplines who have a special interest in the issues of trauma and stress. Included are psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, counselors, researchers, lawyers, administrators, advocates, journalists, clergy and others with an interest in the study and treatment of traumatic stress.

Membership Categories

Members of the Society receive preferred enrolment in limited participation activities plus reduced registration fees to all forums. The half-yearly newsletter, Asian Traumatic Stress Points, provides information on activities in Hong Kong, Asia, and internationally, and updates on publications, research projects and topics of interest in the field. Membership provides linkage to professionals in Asia.

Members are expected to support the objectives of the Society as expressed in the Constitution.
